In 2018, Geelong West and Drumcondra merged to create The City of Geelong Bowls Club. The new club boasts state of the art facilities – notably the new undercover green, custom made by MakMax and illuminated by our Andromeda Pole Mount Park Luminaires
Our Andromeda Pole Mount Park luminaires have been fitted to triple dropper poles throughout the custom made fabric structure designed and installed by MakMax, dispersing consistent uplighting across the green. With tiered seating for up to 300 people and being the only undercover green in the region, the new venue will enable the Geelong region to host larger state and national bowls competitions.

The City of Geelong Bowls Club claims title to be the newest club in the Geelong Bowls Region. It is the first and only club in the Geelong region to have a undercover bowling green to enable patrons to play rain or shine! It formed by two of Geelong’s oldest clubs; Geelong West and Drumcondra joining forces to become one.
This clubhouse also features a bistro which operates 7 days a week, ensuring all patrons have the lunch and dinner sorted! They also have their own retail Bowls shop as well function rooms can be booked for various events which is quite often as they are the headquarters of the Geelong Bowls Region.
