Project Description
Empyrean Lighting was approached by the Sunshine Coast Council to create a lighting design using our range of Ceramic Flood Lights that would increase average lux levels and improve uniformity for The Ray Grace Pavilion.
The pavilion is located within the Nambour Showgrounds, which is home to many major yearly events such as – The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show, Queensland Garden Expo, and South Queensland Caravan Camping Boating and Fishing Expo. These events can attract crowds of up to 40,000! We had the pleasure of upgrading their lighting to our ceramic flood lights to improve visibility for all upcoming events.
By installing 38 ceramic flood lights from our Andromeda range, we were able to lift average lux levels to 230 achieving a brightly lit area for staff and attendees in time for the two recent events, The Caravan & Camping Expo as well as the QLD Garden expo. This will improve the visibility for patrons to view the products stallholders have on display, we want to ensure the area is well lit to create a welcoming environment for all.
Our solution significantly reduces the power use for the showgrounds, has a life span over 50,000 hours, is IP66 and is extremely robust. The IP rating eliminates the risks and hazards of debris or water infiltrating the lights in such an open area.
Key Deliverables:
- Eliminated maintenance costs for the next 5-6 years
- Resilient against debris and the weather elements
- Uses 50%+ less electricity than high intensity luminaires
If your business is looking to become apart of this lovely facility and set up shop under the illuminating grounds at future events and trade shows or you simply want to find out the dates for any new and upcoming events then we encourage you to check out their website here and reach out.
